What is Dry Skin
Dry skin occurs when desquamation of the skin doesn’t happen when it should and the layers build up upon each other moisturiser cannot penetrate these alone and will only soften the layers. This then appears in scaling patches on the skin can cause intense itching and a feeling of tightness. The skin appears rough and blotchy, sometimes even prematurely aged.
How is this skin type treated?
With a proper skin care routine, we recommend light exfoliation followed by a rich moisturiser.
A moisturiser containing hyaluronic acid will be like giving your skin a drink of water. Another great way to help remove these dead cells is through glycolic peeling or microdermabrasion.
But you must remember to be kind to your skin after these treatments by using a good SPF cream.
